The rules just changed. Will your agents be ready?
The CMS 2027 final rule eliminates the 48-hour Scope Of Appointment (SOA) waiting period. Agents will now be able to meet with a client the same day they collect a SOA. But none of that matters if they're not contracted, appointed and certified in time.
AEP kicks off October 15. That’s not a lot of runway to get your entire downline ready to sell.
Here's what needs to happen now:
- AHIP Certification: Opens June 23. Miss the window and your agents are still chasing paperwork when AEP begins.
- Contracting & Licensing: Get your agents contracted before the summer queue backs up. Processing times can stretch to 4–6 weeks by July and August.
- Renewals & State Training: Keep licenses and training current so nothing sidelines your team when it counts.
